[6.1] What are the Media Center Extender Technologies?
Media Center Extender technologies are a set of technologies that enable
the remoting of your Media Center PC's experiences over the network to
other devices throughout your home. For example, a Windows Media Center
Extender device can connect to a TV in one room and play back the TV
content stored on your Media Center PC that sits in another room.

A TV tuner card is only able to capture TV from a single source at a time,
meaning that only one program can be captured (watched or recorded) at a
single time. This means that a Media Center Extender device and the Media
Center PC cannot both watch live TV at the same time with the same TV
tuner, nor can either device watch live TV while a show is being recorded.

[6.5] Will the Windows Media Center Extender Device support wireless
      networks?
Yes, the Windows Media Center Extender Device is designed to support
wireless networks. 802.11a and 802.11g networks will provide a
substantially better experience than 802.11b networks, particularly with
TV and video content.

      applications other than Media Center?
No, Media Center Extender devices are designed to remote the Media Center
experience. Only the Media Center interface is accessible through a Media
Center Extender device.

No, because Media Center Extender devices are only designed to remote the
Media Center experience, Media Center Extender devices only support the
Media Center remote control.

Media Center Extender technologies are not designed to facilitate PCs to
consume content from your Media Center PC - only Media Center Extender
devices (including the Xbox Media Center Extender Kit) are able to use
these technologies to remote your Media Center experience.

Media Center Extender devices are scheduled to be released in 2004. The
devices will be manufactured and released by our OEM partners and the
prices will be determined by those partners.

The Xbox Media Center Extender Kit contains a software title along with a
remote control and a hardware dongle to plug into a controller port (much

        Xbox DVD Movie Playback Kit?
The Xbox Media Center Extender Kit is a superset of the Xbox DVD Movie

as connecting to your Media PC to remote your Media Center experience.
