In der aktuellen c´t wurden 3 HUSH System getestet. Die Fernbedienung (Hersteller FIC, siehe dazu c`t 11/04 S.80) sieht deutlich besser aus als die bekannte Philips Steuereinheit. Mehr als die Webseite ist dort jedoch auch nicht angegeben. Dafür stehen die Preise da.

Hush Technologies has quietly announced a new contender for space in your living room - the Hush ATX MCE is a fanless system based on the Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005.
As with all Media Center systems, the emphasis is on multimedia entertainment and managing digital content. Examples, quoted by Hush include pausing and rewinding live TV, recording an entire TV series, viewing digital photos and videos and managing a jukebox of music, all courtesy of an infrared remote control.

There is a choice of Pentium (up to 2.8GHz) or Celeron processors (2Ghz), and the system spec includes: 400GB of storage, DVD+R/DVD-R, analogue or digital terrestrial TV/FM Tuner Card, 6 channel Audio Output for 5.1 Sound, a fanless Hush ATX aluminium antivibration chassis, a fanless 240 watt audio power supply, and 10/100/1000 LAN Ethernet (Wireless LAN or Bluetooth is optional).

Front panel I/O comprises: 2 x USB 2.0 / 2 x FireWire, 1 x phone, and 1 x Mic. Back Panel I/O connectors include: 4 x USB 2.0, 2 x FireWire, RS232, parallel, mouse & keyboard, DVI, VGA, S-VHS, FBAS, 5.1 Audio, and Optical/RCA S/PDIF (AC3)

Coming in silver or black, the system measures 440mm x 380mm x 99mm (width x depth x height) and weighs 15Kg.

Costing from 1,487 euros (£approximately £985), the new Hush ATX MCE will be available from early September. More details will be appearing on the Hush website.
